Sure it sucks having to do that when things break but theres a number of reasons as to why something can break when it comes to mods for this game. All a replacer is going to do is just change one item into another, you have just as much of a chance of 'messing something up' regardless if its an x2m or a drag n drop replacer but thats one of the risks you take when it comes to modding. but thats with mods in general, besides even if you did somehow manage that, you can simply uninstall the mods, then the game, delete the DBXv2 folder entirely if you still have it and then reinstall the game and Xv2 patcher files and then reinstall the mods. Unless the mod is poorly made you wont really mess ur game up. Even if you get some that are replacers and require you to drag n drop files into the data/character folder in ur DBXV2 folder you can easily remove them by simply deleting the character folder in which the mod files were placed in, then just run the game normally and it should revert back to default. Thats basically where you need to go to find them, just search outfit in the search bar a lot of them do replace normal items but there's a lot quite a bit of clothing mods and item mods that are.
